ACOP Main Event Final Table: The irresistible force versus the immovable object

We knew that the Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) Main Event had a pretty good structure. 30,000-chip start banks, 90-minute levels and five days of poker should've been enough to find a winner, but no, here we are, back for an unprecedented Day 6 with two of Macau's poker titans set to duke it out mano-a-mano.

It's the irresistible force of Sunny Jung against the immovable object that is Devan Tang. Only one will walk away with the ACOP title and gold Spadie.

Last night, play was called to a halt with the mercy rule applied at around 3:15am local time. It was a smart decision as these two are still very deep with well over 100 big blinds apiece. Theoretically, they could play on for many more hours. Or, such is the nature of heads-up poker, it could all be over in one hand.

Sunny Jung has maintained a small lead during the 45 minutes that the two played together last night, but there's not much in it. These two have probably played with each other many times in Macau over the years, both in tournaments in the PokerStars LIVE Macau poker room as well as the high-stakes cash game tables around town. However this is the first time they've battled with a major championship on the line.

Tang has tasted victory before as the inaugural Macau Poker Cup Championships winner, but for Jung, he has six previous final tables on his record but is yet to take home some silverware.

Here's how they will match up at the start of Day 6:

Chip Counts
Sunny Jung - 3,213,000 (134 big blinds)
Devan Tang - 2,877,000 (120 big blinds)

Danny McDonagh has welcomed the players back and given the final instructions to the dealers with the cards now back in the air!
