We'll hear a lot more about Estonia this week when Season 7 of the European Poker Tour kicks off in Tallinn, but for now it's an Estonian player, Alexander Kuperman, making the news after winning the Russian Poker Series event in Riga, Latvia for €95,468.50.

He beat a field of 183 players in the second leg of the debut RPS season, taking the lion's share of an impressive €328,393.50 prize pool.

Kuperman's heads-up opponent was PokerStars qualifier Murat Ganeev from Russia, who took €59,100 for his second place. The final action saw Ganeev shove all-in with K-10. He was called by Kuperman who tabled A-7.

Due to the televised nature of the final table the full board will not be revealed yet, but you can probably guess the result!

A total of 84 players won their seats to the event online by playing on PokerStars, and many more will be trying to do the same for the next RPS stop in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt.

That event, which takes place between 31 October - 7 November, 2010, looks likely to be another cracker.
